This concept is always in the scope of our attention. The system is a stand-alone or possible to integrate with an information web site. Client community, training diary, weight loss module with food database support and food registration, definition and follow-up of personal goals are some of the features.

We are a research and development environment mainly focused on solutions for the fitness and gym industry. We develop IT-solutions and media productions in a cross-media way, where different media often are included. We work with web, mobile apps and other media and platforms in our projects. Our clients are often interested in system integration of web information pages, booking systems, community and training diaries for their clients. We help them with that.
When building these types of systems, it is important to have knowledge of the domain and the real users of the systems. In order to know this, research is vital to conduct. How do users want to use IT-systems in order to administrate the sports activities, what is the most important aspects and what do motivate members when it comes to usage of IT-systems in sports, wellness and health. We conduct research on these and other aspects of sports and IT.

(Piechart for a serious impression)
We have our roots in academia. Our experience is based on research and general knowledge. Most of us share our working activities between teaching, research and development of IT-solutions. We teach in programming, IT-design, human-computer interaction, usability, it-strategy, digital media production, crossmedia design, systems development, methods for design and evaluation etc. We research on human computer interaction – right now mostly with the focus on IT-solutions for health and sports. We do research ourselves and we supervise students in bachelor’s and master's dissertations. We conduct our research on real users in real settings and we report it and publish it in research papers internationally.
Some of our ideas at Creative Camp, we develop further into fully functional solutions. They are produced to fulfill consumer needs of differend kinds. Some solutions are small apps and some are IT-solutions developed as building blocks, where customers might choose what blocks to add to their specific application of the system, as every situation, company and client group are unique. Concepts is the part where we have done a lot of the work already – we just add some of your flavor.
When working with our clients – or partners as we would like to see them – we always are struck of the fact that most of use cases are unique. Large standard systems are not enough to handle some of the requirements in combination with the fact that they cover a whole range of things we simply do not use in most cases. Building IT-solutions from scratch is most often the best solution in the long run. The systems become cost effective when it comes to learnability, efficiency, low error rate due to specifically designed interfaces for the exact use scenarios involved etc. Involving staff and clients into the design process also makes the implementation process easier, due to high user acceptance. All together, building from scratch is almost always a cost effective way of building systems.
